Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, accounting for more than 30% of the total protein in our body. It is an essential building block of the skin and the cartilage, providing support and structure to our body. There are more than 20 different types of collagen: it is present in all connective tissues, skin, bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels and even in the eye.
